What's going on?

Yeah, so I have a lot more time on my hands than I am used to. I have been blogging a bit as of late and just figured out that you can have multiple editors of a blog. I thought it would be a good way of sharing stories, pictures or whatever with each other. This way you can just write something if and when you have time.

I got a CT scan the other day on my small bowel, which appeared to be fine, but the CT scan revealed that I have a gall stone and small fractures in two vertebrae from a snowboarding accident a few weeks ago!

Well, the rest of my platoon is now in Memphis at the best shooting school in the country right now. I am kinda bummed that I am not with them right now, but at the same time there is a lot that I have been able to do. And there is a lot that I don't miss too. It is good to be home and getting to know my wife! haha.

I have been posting pictures on flickr.com. If you want to see some, click on the picture. Also, I created a group for people to post pictures of their dogs in an attempt to draw some traffic to Margie's dog blog. If you have any pictures of your dog please join my group to help get it started.

Later,
Allan

Same ol', Same ol'

So, this is my first time blogging. I suppose you want to know what John, I, and the kiddos have been up to lately. Well, until you are a mom, I'm not sure that you will fully understand how you can be so busy every single day, yet still not have anything all that eventful to report on :)! Julie, just you wait and see! I remember thinking I would be bored after I had Olivia and became a full-time stay at home mom; well, you have no idea how often that babe will seem to be hungry, how many diapers you will have to change, and how often those diapers will leak; thus, leading to the loads and loads of laundry. Like I said, life as a mom is busy, but mostly uneventful! But really, do I have a life of my own? Kind of :)! You might think that my job to chair the fundraising at our preschool is really more of my mom duties; however, I love it! It is essentially my part-time job for the next few months. It feels good to be in charge of something. Right now I am organizing projects for all the classrooms, getting my committees together, working with Michelle on creating the invitation, and mailing hundreds of letters requesting donations.

John is up to the same old things as well. Working way too many hours at Cannon and Co and still trying to buy a farm. . . . . . . Oh, and he is coaching Olivia's basketball team! They don't keep score at this level but we are unofficially 3 and 0!
